Co2 Barrel Cooler test results.

After running water down the barrel, push 4 tight patches down the barrel, dry the chamber, back to shooting in 3 minutes time.

We shot heck out of p. dogs for many, many years using this water system, never any problems.

Nothing wrong with the CO2 system, either, just expensive and cumbersome.

One additional advantage in the water system is when you push the patches down the tube after running the water through the barrel, there is an advantage in a "partial" cleaning that is taking place which does show up in accuracy.

Rubbing the outside of the barrel with rubbing alcohol cools the barrel, but is not EXTREMELY fast like the CO2 & water methods.

What ever you do, try something other than the mind set of rotating guns to let them "cool" off, because when the temps get to 90*, gun barrels do not cool off. The "rotating" method causes a lot of wear and tear on the throats in your rifles when the temps are hot.
