I grew up in Ridgecrest and moved to Orange County for college in 1980. I lived in Mission Viejo for 40 years. I moved to Idaho in 2023. Lonehowl, where were you from before you moved to TX?

I actually love the physical state of CA. The high deserts are amazing for hunting. The weather and physical beauty is unsurpassed. I just could not take it any more due to:

1. Gun control insanity
2. Floods of Mexican and Chinese. When I was the only white guy in Costco Irvine, I knew it was time to leave.
3. Gavin Newsome and the rest of the communists running the place.
4. The crowds.
5. The liberals. Over 50% of the people you will see on an average day voted for the hell that is California.

I now own suppressors, can carry any gun that I want without a permit. I removed the fin grip abomination off my rifles. And, I can buy any handgun I want and walk out with it in 20 minutes. Idaho is like heaven. Oh, every single person on my street is armed to the teeth and shoots. Even their wives.

Good ole Ridgecrest. That’s where allot my family is from. I’m not terribly far from there at the moment. Working down there on the freeway bypass. Still good hunting. Just still California

Central California, farm country, between Fresno and Bakersfield…and I left for the same reasons, couldn’t take it no more. I do miss it but liberals have destroyed it.
 
Yes. Liberals destroy everything they touch.

I would have lost my mind if they banned coyote hunting in Hellifornia while I was there. It was one of the few things that kept me sane. Heck, I would have just done it anyways. I used to hunt north of Baker. There is a lot of desert out there. Just walk a mile into the desert from a dirt road, if anyone asks, you are hunting jackrabbits.

At some point, you just have to do what you want. That's what I did with their stupid lead free ammo requirement.
