Cheap thermal

My suggestion is the Sightmark Wraith Mini Thermal 2-16x35mm. I have one on my lightweight AR for short range(200yds and in) calling. The scope mount and batteries weigh exactly 1lb 4oz. It uses CR123 batteries and they last all night on a pair. They sell a rechargeable battery pack you can run if you don't mind another 1/2 pound. I personally run the cr123's so my suppressed AR weighs 8.5# suppressed and balanced for off-hand friendly in timber, small woodlots or as loaner on a tripod. I've killed 30 with it this summer and have taken them as close as 25yds running ob 2x to standing shots zoomed in at 16x at just over 200 yds.
There are clearer, better featured thermals out there, but nothing I know of that is as light with a good useable picture to 200yds for it's price of $1689. It also makes a really nice thermal scanner if un-mounted from weapon.

I second the Sightwraith Mini Thermal as I built my grandson a 6x6.8SPC and the unit is compact and good value. Tough little unit as I mounted it on a 450 BM and it held up to the recoil.

I've attached a photo of it mounted on the 6x6.8 SPC.

PS: Added a pic of the unit mounted on the Ruger American in 450 BM using a long mount made for BA, etc. I took a pic of the mini beside my Thermion 2 XP50 Pro.
