Cellular trail cameras?

I've been having good results with the Tactacam Reveal cell cams. They have a really good price point and super easy to set up. I've recently added on their solar panels. Last year my 2 at my property just shy of 2 hours north of home stayed at 100% for late August through early January. Everything is done through their app which makes everything easy, and they have some nice features/add-ons that are very useful IMO.

We run Spartans, just the photos only. I run cameras 365 days a year. We’ve used them for everything from security, to deer, for trapping, duck holes, etc.
We tried some Reveals but whatever kind we had scared deer. Well, scared off mature bucks. They were no flash but that IR would light up the night in pics. After one buck left, we found him again and placed another camera. Same thing happened, one pic and not seen again. We found him a third time and went back to a Spartan and he never left that spot.
We sold those Tactacams after that.
I do know folks that get big bucks with them, they just didn’t work for us. We spend a lot of time finding mature deer and trying to keep up with them that we can’t take a chance on something spooking them.

I use tactacam but saw an interesting review on the Moultrie cell cameras. Better price point but service cost is about the same

Last time I checked Moultrie was a good bit higher than TC on their plans.

Around here TC, Moultrie, and Stealth Cam are probably the most popular. I have TC and they are good. I still three of the first gen's and they work fine. Not bad for a $100 camera.

i can tell you what not to buy cuddelink stated out with 12 3 years ago down to 6 they are junk leak like a sive, most were due to getting water in them, started buying reveal they seem to be doing good so far

I just got a pair of Stealth Cam Fusion Max’s…1st time using cellular cams of any sort.
Was alittle overwhelming at 1st as I’m not very tech savvy…Everything is working well so far in my backyard trials. I will be moving them out of state to my hunting property in 2 weeks, so we’ll see if they continue to work properly. Only concern I have is cell service as it’s not great. But so far so good.

Just received 2 Moultrie Edge cell cams today. Bass Pro had 2 for the price of one during their Fall Hunting Classic, so I bit. First trail cams I’ve ever owned and plan to set one out this weekend.

I currently run the Tactacam Reveal and the Moultrie Edge. Both are good, but I think I prefer the Tactacam. It seems to get more photos than the Edge. Both have taken good photos and both have missed critters they should have got, but seems the Tactacam just does a little better. The Edge has a feature where you can request a video and it will process it within 24 hours. I guess it buffers 15 seconds and gives a photo, but video is available upon request. I like that feature, but also I think Tacracam is going to have that feature too, or at least I read that somewhere. Monthly service (AT&T for both) for the Tactacam is $13, and $16.99 for the Moultrie, both unlimited.

Either way, cell cams have revolutionized my coyote bait hunting, helping me to better plan when to hunt without having to drive to the farm every day to pull SD cards. Regular cameras required me to take SD cards home to check, only to realize a coyote was there the night before. Since I bait late in the evening to keep the birds off of it, I pull cards late. Then I have to quickly gather my stuff and head back to the farm and try to get settled in before dark. Cell cameras have essentially eliminated that hassle.

With the above post, I use mine on bait sites for hogs. I can set my timer for say 5-7min and once the hogs show I can be parked and stalking in within 12-15 minutes. Generally they get a pass the first time they show, but when I get the next times pics I set my camera to 0 seconds. It like almost real time as I’m stalking in. Generally I can park within 300yds without being detected. I’ve actually been walking halfway to the site and see the direction they’re leaving and I was able to get in front of them and still kill multiple pigs.
Cell cams are very addictive, be careful starting down that road, lol!!

Browning dumped all their junk on an uninformed public last year. Cameras work fine but the cellular part is a joke. Whatever you do, don't use the Strike Force App and give them any info.

You'll never get rid of them. Scam artists to say the least..
