Does anyone know what the spec's. are (watt amp/speaker) on the Cass Creek Big Horn XL? Would it be loud enough to be used only with a MP3 player? Thanks

I have one and just looked at the box and I do not see any spec's on it or the unit itself. It is pretty loud just does not have the sound quality as my foxpro.
I got plenty of volume with my I-pod.

I use one all the time and it is plenty loud. Sounds great to me and I have not had a coyote complain about the sound quality rp

I have one hooked up to an Mp3 Player. It works great. I'm using a Creative MuVu V100 Mp3 player I got at Walmart. It was about $50 and has a display so you know what sound your about to play. It allows you to play sounds in sequence or play in a continous loop. I've had it out in the cold and wet and dirt and it still works fine. So far this year I have called in: (all but 1 shot by myself)
2 Coyotes 1 shot at 1 taken
12 Grey Foxes 8 shot at 7 taken
Plus 1 more Gray Fox called in with a hand call and taken with a shotgun.
I became alot more sucessful after I started using the Big Horn setup, using my computer to set up my sounds so that any pauses were in the sound file. This let me just hit the play button and leave the call alone, keeping my attention on scaning instead of fiddling with the caller. I can also glance at the player to see how long I have been on stand. Don't get me wrong, I'd like to have a Foxpro, but for now, the Big Horn and Mp3 works better than I ever expected.
