BSA scopes

I'm looking at upgrading my scope on my .243 from a 3-9x30mm to either a 6-18 or 6-24. I've seen BSA scope sell inexpensivelly on Ebay, and am wondering if the price paid results in a crappy scope in a couple years. They do offer a lifetime warranty, but I question its reach, and value. Any ideas, first hand experiances, or cooments I'd greatly appreciate.

I had a 6x24 bsa on a nef 243, shot the guts out in about 40 rounds. I haven't used one since. That was 2 years ago.

I put a BSA Contender 3-12x50mm AO. On my Ruger M77 RSI in 270 cal. I put it on 2 years ago and I have had NO problem with it. It stays zero'ed in. I also Put a Catseye 3.5-10x50mm On a Remington 700 ADL in 260 cal. last year, No probelms with that one either. (except I wish it had the AO on it)I don't pound these guns every hunting day. They aren't my Main hunting rifles, But for the money I have in them I can't complain ! They are clear and bright. Can't tell you anything about any warranty. Haven't had any trouble!! Friend of mine had a Contender scope and had trouble. He returned it and they repaired it and sent it back to him..It cost him just shipping 1 way..I would Bet Jon from The Optic Zone could help you with questions, He seems VERY knowledgable on Scopes! And I bet he can tell you what brands carry what warranties..AL

BSA scopes are garbage if you use your gun for shooting more than three rounds every deer season. I learned the hard way, that BSA's are not, and will never be hard working scopes. If you want a good scope, spend 200 bucks or more and get something that will last you....or get yourself a BSA and learn the hard way....like I did. I am on my fourth Contender...customer service, warranty, or whatever, isn't worth the hassle, downtime and disappointment....when you go to take that all important shot....and your scope fouls up on you.

Buy you a Burris Fullfield 2 or Bushnell Elite 3200 , not much more than the BSA and you will be much happier.
