No, tomatillos/green tomatoes taste pretty much alike, but tomatoes are a bit softer. We don't use cabbage in our tacos. Mostly meat (ground or chopped), lettuce, tomatoes, onion & salsa on a corn tortilla; sometimes add a little avocado. Flour not bad, but I prefer corn. I could live on Mexican or TexMex alone, in fact I feel like I might have withdrawal symptoms when deprived. :ROFLMAO:

Lol. I really gotta get down there someday and try some of this stuff.
 
Well, IDK, some good old chalupas are pretty darn good, too. Fry corn tortilla flat, not too crisp so you can pick them up, spread some pinto and black beans, sprinkle a generous layer of shredded cheddar/monterey jack cheese, add some lettuce, tomatoes and top off with a generous amount of sliced pickled jalapenos.

Back to biscuits, I've been trying to locate something similar to the crackers that came in C rations to no avail. Tried several different recipes but nothing close. I think the Kentucky Biscuit might be in the neighborhood. Gonna give it a shot soon.
 
Look for "Pilot Bread", round hardtack type cracker, I used to keep a roll in the truck. Great for rolling into a dredge for frying fish, loading up with sardines or kipper snacks and anywhere you would use oyster crackers by breaking them up..
