I look at a chronograph as my friend when doing load development. It takes pressure to build velocity. If I see my that my velocity is out of range of a loading manual or GRT, I stop right then and there and check things. It's not worth it to me to eek out every bit of velocity. I'll take accuracy over velocity any day.
