Well ... it's official folks! Repete is the one & only member who has ever made me have to use the "ignore" feature on this site. What comes around, goes around.

I think we need to change something on this site. If a member has me, for instance, on their "ignore list" I feel they should not be allowed to participate in a thread that I'm the OP of .... right? I mean, I am being ignored so stay the heck away.

Anyone else wanna put me on their ignore list?

Your close to getting put on mine.

While Charlie and I have never meet, I would consider him a friend and would buy him a steak and a cold beer if given the chance.

You sent me a PM about your situation with him, knowing we get along. You basically asked me to see if he was willing to bury the hatchet between the two of you. I told you that I would contact him and I did. Then I got back with you and told you he wasn't interested in conversing with you. That means leave it alone.

But no... now... You drag this chit out in the open again just to stir it up when you should have left well enough alone. Charlie doesn't want anything to do with ya, that his right. You need to accept that and move on.

Your an a$$hat for sure. Don't be sending me anymore PM's either.

I have only shot H-G bullets at paper so far. These were the 30gr. with a 12 ogive. They shot very well in my 9 twist. I have some 27.5gr. ordered from him.
As for flat base bullets, I prefer them, because I think the accuracy may be a shade better. I don't shoot far enough to worry about using a boattail design.

K22~

Thanks for your input. When were you told you'd be receiving the 27.5gr bullets? Kinda curious if they are back logged like everyone else at the moment.

I never asked John when I would be receiving them. I know he was finishing up his 20 cal. bullets the end of Dec. and was getting ready to make the 17's. He/his shop also does custom rifle work, so bullets arent his only work. He will set you up so you can make your own if that is something that interests you. They make the dies and swagging equipment.
All that to say............I don't know if he has a back log, but chances are he does.

Not much help was it.

You want to keep it informative, but yet you keep crying about your hurt feelings. Strange...Are you the only one permitted to be off topic?

17HM2 with a 37 grain Berger VLD. My buddy's Ruger mk2 pistol got a new barrel, bolt, and lower to shoot this round. Kinda sketchy hand loading rimfires but so far so good. Decent velocity and should hit hard on those roadside foxes.

6mm06 to answer your question the 17 rem is tough on fox unless you do one of two things.first I have down loaded 25 gr. berger match target to 2870 fps. I get a dime size or smaller exit, The fox run 15 20 yards and die.I read a post were a guy said that a 20 gr.vmax at 4200 worked great on fox, not exiting. I am going to do some carcass testing with the 20 gr.If anyone has expierience with the 20 gr. on fox Id like to hear about it.you asked about bergers 25 gr. varmit bullets,They are to explosive and tend to splash creating huge entry holes.I have done carcass testing with them on fox and they had much bigger exit holes than the match target. The 17 rem is geat on bobcats.I think if berger gets a ton of calls to do a run of the 25 match.they would. I am going to call them and tell them Ill take 1000 myself.I have 900 and some left but I like my bullets like a woman likes her shoes,LOTS.
