Been a while since we've visited the border, but don't take that as a sign that all is well down south. It's just due to the fact that so much more is going on around the world and news media is not reporting on the issue as often.

According to Newsmax, there have been 13,099 illegal immigrants who have been convicted of murder, 662,566 illegal immigrants who are on the criminal docket (435,719 have been convicted of crimes) who have been released into the United States by ICE. And these numbers do not include "gotaways" . Newsmax screen shot:

According to Newsmax, ICE has spent $640,000,000 during FY 2024 and $1,400,000,000 since 2022 on illegal immigrants, yet:
Epoch Times Earlier this week, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott wrote that Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, the Department of Homeland Security, and FEMA should “immediately stop spending money on illegal immigration resettlement and redirect those funds to areas hit by the hurricane” and “put Americans first.”

He was responding to Mayorkas’s comments to reporters that FEMA, overseen by his agency, “does not have the funds” to make it until the end of the 2024 Atlantic hurricane season, which is Nov. 30.

“We are meeting the immediate needs with the money that we have,” Mayorkas told a press gaggle on Air Force One. “We are expecting another hurricane hitting. We do not have the funds. FEMA does not have the funds to make it through the season and ... what is imminent.”
