A couple more with the ace

Mark, I believe for most people it’s the fact that the internal batteries won’t last forever, and you can’t change them. There’s only so many charge cycles in them before they are depleted. After that, they become added dead weight in a device that needs to be powered by an external power source via USB cable, or in this case, the secondary replaceable battery.
Thanks for the explanation. Guess mine has a while, lol. About the only time it’s used is during a battery replacement.

I really like the ocular zoom, to me that should be the fix for pixel issue of the x,y axis value change for zeroing. Of my 2 Burris thermals, neither will calibrate as fine directionally as the rifles they are on. So far not an issue for hunting, but not ideal when the majority of past shooting experience has trajectory paths(holds) stored in my head.
Do you see a functional ability to adjust the zero to 1/4 inch?

I should note a negative in the build quality department; the ocular zoom lever is rubber, like a rubber ring around the housing, but isn't bonded to the housing so kind of feels "loose" on there if you catch my drift. It hasn't been an issue but they could have done better in that area. Other than that, I like the layout of the controls and they're easy to use. There's three important buttons on the ocular; power, record, and rangefinder, arranged in a triangle. So it's fairly easy to tell where your at, although I have snapped pictures when trying to range.

Saw the 2nd vid-great and if I counted right that was some really good shooting as you hit it all 3 times at 330yds!
You comment on not using PIP because it only zooms if engaged is my favorite feature of my Pulsarxg50. Keeps my wide base mag FOV when multiples show up but much larger aiming pic. Though your open terrain is a lot different than where I hunt.
