.17 Hornet 25 gr Berger w/CFE Black Load?

Does anyone have a good load for this bullet? I only see load data for Hornady 25 gr Vmax. Below is what I currently have.

.17 Hornet CZ 527 Varmint
Berger 25 grain Flat Base Varmint HP
CFE Black Powder
Primers: Winchester Small Rifle
Winchester Small Pistol
Remington No. 6 1/2 Small Rifle
Federal NO.100 Small Pistol primers

From the Hodgdon reloading center. CFE BLK minimum 10.7 gr to maximum of 11.6 gr using a 25 grain Vmax Federal 205 primer. My CZ likes 12.2 grains of H335 under a 25 grain Berger varmint and Remington 7 1/2 primer set at book COAL. I'll dig a little more, I thought I got some info straight from Berger. Can't help with the specific primer you listed. Good luck

Call Berger, they will send you the data. May take a few days but they'll contact you. The data they sent me for a 25 grain bullet didn't include what you wanted. They sent me Accurate 5744, Accurate 1680, Alliant RE-7, Hodgdon H4227, H4198, H335, IMR4227, and VVN110. COAL of 1.723" and no primer specified. My gun was finicky with both the Berger 25's and the Hornady 20 grain Vmax. If something I listed there moves you let me know and I'll give you the load range. H335 is 12 grains to 13 grain max. Worked best for me. Good luck.

Not on coyotes but on prairie dogs, 25’s just needled through no expansion at least with my accuracy load. Don’t recall what it was, I moved on to a 17FB and have not looked back.

I use 17 hornet with 20 vmax on prairie dogs. I don’t have my load data available but I use cfe blk powder. It’s a killer, but less carnage than faster/bigger bullets. I would not use that load on coyotes.
