Your state's night seasons

About 3 or 4 years ago the state of AL legalized night hunting for hogs and coyotes. We bought thermal scopes and scanners and have been having lots of fun. Our night season ran all year, except during deer season. Our deer season is long, beginning with archery Oct. 15, ending Feb 10. They did offer a pilot program this year to night hunt {coyote and hogs} during deer season, but the requirements are too complicated. And it's too expensive. 100.00. You have to submit online all your partners special license numbers, written permission from landowners, a map of where you'll be hunting, and call the sherrifs dept. and tell them where you'll be hunting.
There is a conservation advisory board that helps to set the hunting seasons. We want to go to the next meeting to give our input. We want to be able to hunt during the winter, but the current rules are too complicated.
I would like to know the rules and regulations for night predator hunting in your state.

Thank you for taking the time to reply.

PA coyote hunting is 24/7/365
Thermal/NV permitted
You do need permission from landowner to hunt private property...no law enforcement needs notified
Suppressors permitted
Semi-Autos permitted
The only issue in PA is there are a crapload of people doing it....that don't take the time and effort to educate themselves on the art of killing them.

PM skinny and he may be able to provide you with more detailed info with what he presented to SD legislators...
He posted something years ago and I believe he still has it on their channel.

Here is something from Chris Robinson:

ALSO Contact Sheri Baity of Crow Nest Calls, SHE was one of the pillars for getting PA out of the Stone Age and may be willing to give you info on what she presented to one of the top 8 asinine state governments in the USA

Ask them what the mission of the advisory board is for making coyote and hog night hunting so complicated..are the complications from the state beaurocracy red tape or the landowners.

South Carolina

Coyotes/hogs are not considered game animals so they do not have a season. You can hunt them 24/7 on private lands.

For night hunting coyotes/hogs. We have to register the property on the DNR's website. This includes the tax number, owners, name and info., etc.

Personally, I think it's a bunch of crap and needs to be done away with. There have been a bunch of times that the website was down or it just wouldn't work with my phone. Most land owners DO NOT want to be bothered, especially at 1:30am. Even though you explain it over and over, some land owners say no because they do not want their information put into any database. You also have to register all your property every year. That can take an hour or more.

Point blank, it's a hindrance and it should be done away with.

I can walk across the state line from my house and not have to register any property. I just show up and hunt and that's the way it should be.

Unless Iā€™m just breaking the laws, Georgia has no season on Coyotes, hogs, beavers, coons, or possums on private lands. Night hunting allowed with lights, NV, or thermals. Any weapon can be used and suppressed. During fox and cat season (Dec 1 - Feb 28) all of the above is legal as well. We donā€™t have a lot of ā€œpublicā€ land other than WMAā€™s and State laws have to be abided by during that time which is daylight only and when they are open to hunting. Private lands is pretty much State laws as well except hunting is allowed 24/7/365.
