Winter is here-

My roses are still blooming, picked fresh Rosemary for thanksgiving dinner. I do have a heater in the fountain to keep it from freezing. It snowed enough to shovel a couple years ago, I'm the only one with a snow shovel.

I do miss snow, I still have my XC Skis and snowshoes just in case I decide to head north.

Snowed here Christmas Eve 2006 first time in 125 years, it was a Hell of of mess, on the way to Christmas Mass 1/2 our ranch hands wrecked trying to get to the County Road 7 miles away none of them had ever seen Snow before. the Ranch kids were tickled to death, they had Snowmen every where. and one Hell of a Snow Ball fight. Murl B.

That was the first snow I've seen a bit south of you, Murl, but sometime in the late 50's or early 60's saw light snow on the ground @ San Manuel but that one didn't make it any farther south. Not sure of the year, but was with my uncle who passed in '67. "none of them had ever seen Snow before" You're right about that, folks don't have much experience driving of wet highways down here, let alone snow or ice.😂

..just a little so far this morning.

...over 2 feet in 24 hours.
