Wildlife Technology call?

If Bill would have listened to his customers and not been a jerk he would’ve had the best caller there ever was. But he knew every and his customers were just dumb. Their sounds for the day were great and sounded amazing on their callers. But with tebbe and mfk sounds on the market they are irrelevant now. Now if someone would buy the company design a remote and make it programable you would have something.

I don’t know Damon, I had a pack of coyotes howl back at me and fresh tracks in the snow proving I got back doored in the last few weeks with my new mighty atom laut. I’m loving the sounds and the coyotes have been responding too. Yeah the remote is a bit awkward but I’m getting the hang of it and anyone else can too

Exactly!!! I tried to purchase sounds from him once, and he wouldn't put the sounds I wanted on MY call! He claimed that HE knew what I needed, and I didn't know what I was talking about. I was polite (initially) and said "great! so you have called out here in Western Washington?" He told me it didn't matter, that he knew WAY more than anyone else. So I became not so polite...

And that's all I have to say about that.

It will call oodles of coyotes for sure and I killed a lot with mine. But having caller I can’t put new sounds on myself and the remote is worthless. I use a lot of sounds through out the year as things change. I cannot read my old list I have taped onto the back of my remote anymore. I guess I’m kinda bitter cause I know it’s the best sounding caller on the market and I would buy another in a heartbeat if they would just make the changes to it people have been asking them to make for the last 20+ years.

He probably wanted you to stick to his system or at least try it that he explains in the coyotes dvd. There’s a 4 step method he explains with specific sounds for a specific reason.

I guess the approach he chose with his business is if you want more sounds then he can sell you more of his, rather than make it easier for customers to add their own recordings or ones from competitors. It’s a tough business decision with no easy answer.

As far as the remote goes, it still works. You can still change sounds, play, pause, and adjust the volume from a distance. What else does a caller really need?

I’m guessing u were never blessed to get to have a conversation with Bill. The remote is not for me. If you took the icotec remote with the wt caller and made it user programmable with tebbe or mfk sounds no one would compare to that unit.

Unfortunately no. I wonder if its possible to program the icotec remote to work on the wt? What model do you have?

Also have you (or anyone else reading this) asked Pat if she could put the Tony tebbe or mfk sounds onto your wt?

I have a mighty atom a cs24 and a roughneck. My partner has the icotec and I don’t care for the actual caller I love the remote for it. He just gushes over his icotec but I don’t think it sounds as good as my roughneck and my mighty atom sounds better than both of those.

I run a CS-24, a FP Patriot, a Mighty Atom, a Minaska M-1 Bandit and a JS Executioner. The Minaska and WT remotes are my favorites. I've never needed to add sounds, factory sound list have done just fine for me.

I do make large print sound list with go to sounds and have my everyday sounds on my favorite keys. I keep it in my pocket.

It’s about time for them to release something new so maybe bill left pat in good shape with plans for a caller that can be programmed and a better remote.

I know they had plans for a programmable caller in 2009 I think when the Ma-15 Ma-21 came out but it got squashed for some reason from what my conversation with bill was.

I’m sure they have something in the works with oat and the kids running it now, so just be patient and see what they release.
