What's everyone using for a headlamp?

I'm currently using the Wicked Lights ScanPro iC Gen4 3-color (white, red, green), ScanPro iC GEN4 3-Color-In-1 Night Hunting Headlamp Kit | Wicked Lights.

This latest version has a more robust battery compartment and is much more comfortable to wear all night compared to the previous models. The dials and buttons are really nice and easy to use. I like that I can preset the light setting/color on really low/red so I can push it on quickly when trying to see while opening gates with chains, etc.

I have some cheap version of clip-on hat brim lights I've used before too. Those are definitely the most comfortable.

Night Eyes red headlamp from when I used red lights. I go lightless 99% of the time walking in/out. Sometimes you just need to see a little though. I can adjust it super dim for tricky terrain.

Fo recovery I use a really bright LED headlamp. I believe it’s made by nitecore. I purchased it fron Longhorn Tactical a few years back. Forget the model but it has been a very solid performer. It too has several intensity levels.

I’m really only using my headlamp if needed for opening/closing gates or retrieving animals. I try my best not to use any extra light.
Should have been using my red light after setting the Foxpro out the other night.

Walking back to the gun, I stumbled into my backpack laying on the ground, stepped on it, broke my Sceery howler, & turned on the TX-1000.

Damn lucky it didn't fire up pup distress on Foxbang.

Just use a four led green light that runs on a 2025 battery and clips on my hat.

In that case, got a cheap Walmart brand headlamp I’ve had for umpteen years. Sometimes I just use the light of my phone once I get up to it. I don’t use lights going in or out. My wife did buy me some little fancy headlamp that has to be charged but other than the 9yr old using it playing at night, I haven’t used it. Looks pretty bright when they’re running around the yards with it.

I have owned/used headlamps made by EWT, Wicked, Fenix, and Night Eyes. IMO the absolute hands down best headlamp that I have ever used is the Night Eyes dual beam. I use the red to open/navigate gates, fences, etc. and the white for recovery and general tasks. This light uses one 18650 battery so it is much lighter and more compact than Wicked or EWT. It is so comfortable to wear that I often forget to take it off when I get home. I am on my second one, the first one lasted 8 years before the red side quit working.

You guys going around in the dark must be a lot younger than me. Falling down can really hurt, break equipment and body parts which take a lot longer to heal than they used to, plus I have walked up on more deer and other critters including coyotes with my red light on than I can remember. My red Night Eyes light is on (dimmed) unless the moon is really bright until I am at set.

I have two Black Diamond headlamps, one I use, one for backup in the pack.

It has white spot, white flood, and red flood. All adjustable for power, and powered by 3 AAA rechargeable batteries.

I'm not sure if mine are the 300 or 350 models.

If I'm in cover that is below my shoulders, I'm usually walking without a light actually powered on. It's a rechargeable headlamp I purchased off Amazon, has two 18560 batteries. High/low and blacklight. Often the blacklight is enough and doesn't mess with my vision. Snow on the ground, definitely not turning on a light. But I grew up hunting hounds for raccoon, the night doesn't bother me. I know from taking people with me raccoon hunting, night time hikes make people uncomfortable.

I recently updated my halogen coon hunting light to the Night Eyes Dual Beam headlamp HL50-Q in red/white light. I have not had it out hunting in the field yet but my initial thoughts are I am very impressed and pleased with my purchase.
I must say that the packaging is impressive. Upon opening, included in the top of the box was a nice decal along with a trifold pamphlet of Night Eyes products with my sales receipt. The box has a magnetized end that keeps it closed and in the bottom of this is the extra battery and the battery charger (2 batteries come with the light package). This package comes with 2 batteries and charger as well as the optional halo shield where units such as the Sniper Hog Light offer these but all are sold separately.
The headband is adjustable and was easy to size. The power button, brightness control button are easy to access on the side of the headband as is the dual beam control button in the center of the dual beam head. The beam head is adjustable (various angles) as well.

As I mentioned earlier, I’ve not had the light in the field yet to see firsthand the distances to recognize, identify the target, but it seems to be a great update to what I was using at night for so many years.

One last thing, Jesse was the individual at Night Eyes that I emailed and asked many questions about this particular product prior to ordering. He was very quick to reply back and answered my questions each time. I mentioned I was a member here and as a result he applied a discount on the overall purchase.
Customer service is excellent.

I laugh at myself everytime I think of a headlamp. Of ALL the money I've spent on hunting gear, calls, guns, etc. The best 20.00 I ever spent was on a chinaman headlamp on Amazon. The darn thing is amazing, for $20 frigging buck...ROLMAO. I think I've got a Coyote Reaper and it's great BUT, it was way more money
