What Would You Do Here? 7 Coyotes Come In...

7 Coyotes come in...thanks again to the X24 with MFK sounds. At what point would you mute the caller?

We did end up getting 2 but it was a little chaotic. Once we got a couple to stop we took our synchronized shots and ended up shooting the same coyote, then got another with a double-tap in the far back field. With 7 coyotes, it was difficult to keep track of how many were to the left or right when in the scope and difficult to communicate as effectively with my hunting buddy in this situation compared to a more standard set with 1-3 coyotes. I think the next time something like this happens we're going to start shooting sooner, even if there is only one stopped and ready to shoot. Lesson learned.

I'd swallow my chew. šŸ˜² Kinda like shooting quail on the rise.....pick one and shoot.

Never had that many come in at once; most was 5, maybe 6....couldn't be sure as they were popping in and out of a sendero from thick brush. We have an agreement when both are covering same area, shoot the first one that presents a shot. If more than one in view, left shooter picks left coyote.

5 called, 3 down

5 More Called, Same setup, different day

Yep, I would have been barking them to a stop and shooting before they crossed the first brush line if they were inside 150 which they appeared to be in your scope. I don't like them to get too close if it is open terrain if I can help it--too much bad can happen.
