Yesterday I had 2 sheep and 3 goats caught. Looks like today may be the same. Sometimes trapping around stock is tricky, but your your not catching stock your not doing your job. Need to be setting where yotes are. Also need to keep them set so when they come by, you get your chance at um.

I tried trapping one year. Caught more deer than anything. My traps kept getting sprung, but not dug up. I talked to a friend of mine that is a really good trapper and he said it was deer. I was like no way. So I set up a camera. Sure enough it was deer. Of course they would pull out of the trap.

Yep happens here too. Even when using coyote urine and a turd. Guess everything likes that kind of nasty

In the fall around here, fresh worked dirt will end up with deer tracks in the circle by morning. No scent needed, turkey will also check out fresh dirt work. Blending in the sets where deer are moving is a must. Both does and bucks will visit the "scrape" you just created.

We’re only allowed #2 or smaller. Deer pull out easily.
Fox urine is the worst for deer curiosity, followed by coyote urine. Bobcat urine results in the least tripped sets.
Gland lure is used very sparingly but it will still attract them. I just set knowing about one quarter to one half of my sets will be tripped the first night, lol.

That is really interesting about the cat urine. I’m gonna have to pay closer attention to here. In the hotter months most months here cattle are very attracted to coyote urine as when it evaporates there is a salt residue, left over. They really key in on that hard.
