1st stand was in a pasture. My buddy said that he thought he saw something for just a second as we were setting up but he was not sure what it was. I howled and coyotes answered from several directions including right in front of us. It turns out what he saw was a coyote just down in front of us in a low spot in the field. It stood up and howled back about 75 yds out. We got on it and double tapped him. I thought I was dead on him but he took off running. I shot 2 more times and rolled him on the last shot, DRT. Nice male.
We moved on to the pack that we heard farther down the road. They answered my howl and in a few minutes three came out across from us in the next field, about 150yds. The grass was knee high with patches of taller broom straw but there were a few open spots. We waited until we had 2 in the open and I bark stopped them. I killed mine DRT. Female. My buddy either missed his or hit it bad, we could not find it. .
