Turbo dogg Help

New user, great forum!

I have a 2 year old Turbo dogg. It was replaced under warranty less than a year old. I am having problems again. We won't go into their customer service.

Somehow the folder labeled SILENCE which contains the file SIL00010.mp3 has disappeared.

Instead of just e-mailing me what I need and letting me put it back they want me to pay to ship it to them and then pay to ship it back and pay to put the file on!

Wondering if anyone could help by e-mailing me the folder and contents or offering any advice.

Man I wish I had bought anything but a Primos.

Hello and welcome to the forum.
I see a lot of posts about Primos products, I have owned a few, mouth and hand calls only. Here are my thoughts and you Primos fans can rebuke me if you like.
Primos, like a lot of other outdoor product companies, does not actually manufacture most of the products that they put their name on. They send specs to china and have the product built "close" to their specs. It's no wonder that customer service doesn't know what to do to help you, the person that you communicated with has probably never actually used the product. Or even seen it. I'm just not a big fan of companies that farm everything out to China. I'm sorry that I can't help you with your problem, I own a USA made Foxpro. I have called them and they do answer the phone, and they communicate in English.

I dumped all my primos TD backup files a while ago or could of helped you.
I went through 4 TD callers and just took them back each time to wallymart and got my $$ back after the run around waiting for CS at primos to help.
When you get it fixed I suggest selling it.

I had a power dogg and they sent me a remote right out. I know 8 or 10 hunters with the same call you have and have had no problems with them in 2 years or better. How did you loose the file. It can only be deleted the same as sounds on a FoxPro. The cheaper foxpros are far more complicated or the spitfire to load than the power dogg. They are just drag and drop on the Primos. Did you check the recycle bin of your computer.

They work fine the computer picks them up like a mp3 player. Different folders, some are sequenced hunts the rest are predator, crow, etc. You just drop your new sound in a folder. Couldn't be any easier. I spent 4 hours changing all the numbers on my FoxPro so all the sounds were in order, rodents, howls, rabbits, etc.

Sounds are easy to load and move around and when it works it works pretty good.

I thought I might have accidentally deleted it when working in the drive adding/changing sounds but it should have been in my Trash Bin if that's the case and I have trash as old as the call. I even did a search on the caller drive and my whole computer for it and it is just not there.

Well if it helps.. my foxpro dumped all data two weeks ago when i was hunting. It can happen where something internal causes a memory wipe.. dont know what caused it with my fp but its working like it should again. Not saying its the same deal with your td but could be similar

Happy camper here hunting again. Thanks Midwestpredator for all the help and everyone else for advise.

A piece of advise to anyone that don't know. Back those files up somewhere safe in case something happens!!!

Glad to hear you are up and running! I keep my files backed up on my computer, an external hard drive and a Jump drive locked in my gun safe....

I know it's been over a decade, but if you still got those files I'd love to help my Dad out. It's either corrupted or there's some sort of firmware update, but Primos doesn't host any archives for that (except the Boss Dogg). Used to be a white backdrop on the interface, now it's just a dim red and I don't even know if he can get sounds to play. If you still got any of those files, I'd take all 200mb if possible
