Training a decoy dog

i'm by no means a dog trainer, but mine get to go with me every day so that helps i think. i want them to come back when i whistle no matter what, that way i can stop them from doing what i dont want and they will not get stopped from what i want them to do. i cant train a dog to crap in the floor but i can stop one from doing wrong. i think some breed sure have more hunt then others but i've seen about every kind used. i start all my pups out on a trap line and buying live trapped coons, it seems to help get the fire in them. there are some guys on here that are sure enough dog trainers so they should be able to help you more then i can. hope you have good luck and if you dont have a dog yet really look at a catahoula i think their your best bet

Look back thru the old post, you will find a weath of good info.No trying to be short ,but many guys wanting to start decoy dogs have the same ?'s and they have been answered many times. If you look at the older post and need more info, I'm sure most of us would be glad to help.
By the way I run a few Catahoullas and crosses. You will find many pics of the "boys",in the post.
