Trail Cam Pics?

No fox around here, grey or otherwise. I was lucky enough to see 2 red fox in king county when i grew up on the west coast of washington, but both were fleeting encounters. However in my recent life as a degenerate sailor ive been able to have a lot of up close encounters with foxes in western alaska. Theyre like fleas in dutch harbor. Theyll come right up and eat out of my hand on the dock. And heres a pic i took of one up above the arctic circle near kivalina. She was quite impressed with the cooks bbq'd chicken.

Our national bird was dining on a coyote carcass I had shot and disposed of. Put a camera on it to see if they would eat their own...... had one coyote visitor, must have been paying his last respects as he left without sampling his kin.

I tried that one time and it actually made the coyotes that were coming to the bait pile leave it alone. So I removed the dead coyote and they started coming back within a few days.

I have no doubt that can happen. The dead coyote was obviously from the same “family pack” as the one who came to check it out. It was shot off my bait 150 yards from where I dumped it. Trail cam video showed he / she smelled it for a few seconds then left. I’ll see if I still have the video.

The one I tried came from the other side of the county. They didn't want anything to do with it.

I've heard others say coyotes will eat their own, but have never personally seen anything to support that. We disposed of most of the coyotes we shot @ one location. No game camera, but I never saw a live coyote there, just hawks, buzzards & Cara Cara.
ETA: Don't doubt that they do, just have never seen it myself.
