Thinning the herd.........

...doesn't seem to be working very well. Everytime I say I need to get rid of a few rifles I seem to buy another one or two. I bought a Tikka 695 270 Win about a month ago and week-end before last a Cooper Varminter in 6.5-284. They were probably both impulse buys but boy they sure are nice. And they both are shooters. I didn't really need either, but we all know about needing. The Tikka is a stainless model in a deluxe walnut stock. No one really knows for sure why its all stainless in a walnut stock but it looks great and shoots better. The Cooper is a Montana Cooper. It looks to be a very very low round count rifle just by looking at the bolt face and barrel. It came with 90 loaded rounds in Lapua brass plus about 170ish unfired Lapua and an unopened box of Nosler brass and a set of dies. I did some trading for the Cooper and I think came out on the top with this one . I took it to the club yesterday and with a 140 Custom Comp bullet it put 5 in a ragged hole. I shot the Tikka a few weeks ago and with a 130 VLD-H it did the same thing. Might just been a couple of good days but both rifles seem to be very accurate.

So much for thinning the herd. I just like cool rifles to much. No hope in sight for me.

Took the Tikka and the Cooper to the club today. Boy, no regrets here. The Tikka is just stupid accurate and the Cooper ain't no slouch either. My friend said the Tikka is to pretty to hunt with but I'll figure that out when the time comes.

Well I just got that S&W 17, and decided it’s probably too nice/rare to be shooting it…soooo I ordered a Ruger Mark IV Tactical today. Also have an AR pistol in the works since my other one is too long to use in the blind with the suppressor.
I guess it’s not Meth or Crack, so there’s that lol..
