we were out coyote hunting and in the process of relocating to a different property. during the drive we sometimes, almost always scan open fields with the hopes of seeing a coyote. if we see any, we go back and ask permission the next day or so. we didnt see any coyotes but we saw this nice sized bear. this was taken using my pulsar axion xq38 scanner (its a 384 not a 640)

That’s cool Bo. At least you were just driving around and spotted it. I’d rather it be that, opposed to calling it in at night and having to ask mr bear nicely to please give my e-caller back! Lol!
 
Nice! I have thermal pics of three bears in an apple tree. Look like siblings that mom just sent out on their own this year.
It's hard to wrap my mind around farmland being bear country but you PA boys have put up some bruisers.

we actually shared a cut corn field with a bear one night a few years ago. we kept an eye on that one when we started calling. it could have cared less, paid no attention to us at all.
