The winds died down

Finally the winds died down last night. So off to a spot that has been good for me on SW winds. The snow, what little we have is crunchy, and it sucks. Started out with a howl and got a group to answer to the east of me. Was quite for awhile and then started into some distress sounds. I was scanning to the west and back south and poof here one standing. South of me 125 yds, down goes the scanner and onto the rifle. He's moving toward me slowly, stops at 100 yds and I take a frontal shot. You can hear the whoop of the bullet hit, see fur fly in the scope. It takes off to the south and over the hill it goes. Finish with the set and walk over to where I last saw the coyote. It was laying there dead, maybe 50 yds from where I shot it. Again thanks for taking the time to look at and read my post.

Thanks for the story. I plan on getting out tonight as the winds have died down here too, but rain is coming around 11pm-if you wanna believe the forecasters.
