Super quick stand tonight

Had two rush the call about two minutes into my first sit tonight and I honestly wasn't ready. I have no clue how they got on me so quick as I had just scanned the field with the K3. All I can think is they were over a knoll right beside me but not being quite ready they went out to about 200 yards and I hit pup distress and they ran right back in. Shot this male right beside the call and I was real slow on racking the bolt and never got his partner to stop until she was about 200 yards when she stopped for her one last look before disappearing into the woods and that was a swing and a miss. This is the third one I've taken this week and I really need to start remembering to hit the record button on the T-20. Shooting the .204 there's just not enough recoil to get it to record. Maybe if I would've had the AR I could've pulled a double but she'll be around for the next night I go in there.

Congrats on getting the new year started šŸ˜ƒ ! One way to be sure you record is to turn it on before you start calling then just delete what you donā€™t want. I do it when Iā€™m in tight quarters where they will be on me fast.

What bullets are you running in your 204?
