Just wondering how many are still coyote hunting with spotlights? And what are you using? I have some state ground that I will be using a shotgun on. Spotlight (or headlamp ) and shotgun light or just a spotlight? Just looking for some good advice.

Don't night hunt much at all and if i did, wouldn't be enough to justify nv or thermal.
Still got my giant lightforce spot light.
 
Gotcha. I have a couple old lights that I could use. I just know that you can get newer ones without breaking the bank. I have a ton invested in thermal already so just looking for something decent. Most likely won’t be used a lot. Back in the day we just used a single scan light. No gun light etc.
 
Three years ago, I hunted with a friend that used a red light for scanning with a white light mounted on rifle scope. The white light was only on when the coyote was close enough to take the shot. That worked reasonably well, we killed quite a few coyotes. The lights were “Wicked Lights”
 
Sweet ! I’m gonna give it a try maybe tonight. Just hoping with a red light they will get within 50 yards or so.
