Here's what I did. The latch on the door is kinda flat spring sort doesn't have enough tension. I added tension to it by using a broken off q-tip out of white paper type material, not a wood one. Break off abou 2x as long as head on q tip. I lay the the stem in gap of latch, with coming past edge of latch. Don't need to pit dee p into the groove. Now push the door shut you feel and hear it go click when close door. You are just adding some tension to latch. The q tip head extends off edge of latch and will lay flush against caller. I've called about 3 weeks this season and nothing comes loose st all
. i do pull the q tip out before opening door as you might strip the little locking tabs over time and latch will stop locking if edges become rounded it locks so good. This kinda ad hok fix using some handy at moment. Was thinking maybe filling with silicone caulk would be more perminent. It would have some build in flex aboiut like qtip and not be so strong that you wear so break door... This worked better than expected and pretty simple that I may not get around to the caulk fix.
It has rolled off seat of truck to the floor twice now and door stays shut, when before the door has always came off
