Sharing suppressed rifle?

A friend wants to take me down to his hunting property to kill some of the coyotes. Told him no problem, have 2 thermal scoped suppressed rifles. Later occurred to me that someone else may not be permitted to hunt with/ "possess" my suppressor, even though is along with me. Anyone know the answer?

Curious also. I was “told” as long as I’m there, then anyone can use it even if they aren’t on the trust. It might also be State/County specific. I can’t think of any LEO here questioning or even making a big deal about it “if” they showed up. Most down here are all about predator and hog removal and in some areas of the county, road hunting is allowed with permission of the landowner.

I don't have "the answer", but I would think it would be okay if you were with him. If he was in a truck with your rifle and you were in another truck heading to a spot, I think he could get into trouble. Just my .02

I researched a while back and came to the conclusion it is ok as long as you are there. As I recall there was an interpretation that you couldn’t but that was ruled incorrect.
I highly advise you do an internet search and come to your own conclusion. (I am not a lawyer or expert.)

That's what my research indicates also. Silencer Shop and Silencer Central also present this position on their websites.

You should be good to go with him using it, with you there. Check your state law though. Sometimes states have extra requirements/laws about suppressors.

Generally (not in all circumstances) local law enforcement might not even be legally allowed to ask you for the tax stamp info (again state dependent). Not saying you shouldn’t show them but I’ve talked to the ATF about this before.

The way I was told here in PA. as long as you are with him or anybody with you in the field they can shoot your suppressed firearm, that was in July, now I have not heard of any change.
