I made it out calling today and hunted the full day. Saw lots of coyotes walking into stands but nothing within 400 yards.
First stand of the morning I started with some howls and followed up with a couple series of bird distress and rabbit distress. I was just getting ready to call the stand when I spotted one in the binos at 800 yards. He was heading the other direction so I put on pound town and I watched him do a 180 and come my direction.
I watched him come all the way in to 100 yards where I lip squeaked to stop him and I put him down.
I spotted him out at the end of this grass flat and he came up the left hand side of the picture. In the second picture you can see him laying in the road where I shot him.
