Scratched Out a Couple

March has been slow for me. Time change has played havoc with my hunting time, but I managed to pull out these two last night. First one tried the backdoor as expected. He hit my wind but hesitated long enough to take a lethal hit to the chest. He ran a pretty long way, but crumpled and crashed when he tried to cross a field ditch. Turned out to be a nice male. Then, I had one sneaking along the field edge, but she couldn't resist a little bird distress. She almost ran over the call and then winded it, but stopped long enough for me to get a bullet in her. I hit her too far back but it flattened her long enough for me to get a finishing shot in her. Turned out to be a nice unbred female.

Nice. LIke the video. Couldn't help but notice the uniform distance between the trees in the background. I don't see anything like that here. Are they planted?

Thanks for the responses, guys. The second one was coming really hot, and I muted the call way in advance thinking it would slow to relocate, but that didn't happen.
