The dogs I take with me are small pets they do not decoy. One is a Chihuahua, and would make a nice snack, lol. They know once I start calling to sit close to my feet. Sometimes they will alert if they smell or hear coyotes, there are times they will setup on their back legs and growl and I orientate in that direction and coyotes will appear. I like taking them so I leave another k9 scent, instead of only human scent for the coyotes that come in later to investigate the area after I leave.
