The $11 JP spring kit works wonders, it took my 6lb stock AR15 trigger to 3.lbs and I have not had a single problem since w/heavy trigger pull. Its just about perfect...except its still not a drop in timney, but its not $200 either.


The springs in that link are green, I thought JP springs were only yellow, am I wrong ?

I've got some reduced power springs that are green. They are identical to the yellow springs in every way.

If the trigger group in your New Frontier is anything like the one in my Plum Crazy, the trigger group smoothed out pretty well after about 150-200 rounds and I haven't found the need to upgrade the fire control parts...
 
+1 for the JP spring kit. It's a huge upgrade with a small price tag. I use it in my AR for hunting. Havent had any problems with it at all.

I don't have one, but my son is considering getting one.

I haven't even seen one yet, but aren't the springs metal allready? If not, what are they made of?

The trigger and hammer springs that come in the NF lower are steel. The reduced power springs are steel. No biggie swapping them.

The reduced power springs will help the trigger pull a little.
