"SLYDOG" calls

Anybody have photo's of your Slydog calls that you can post here? These are some antler calls that are a real work of art.
 
Not only do they look good, they have excellent sound, too. Sly sent me a couple and I wouldn't give them up for anything.
Every call is "field tested". You don't get it until it's called in a coyote. Who else goes to that extent with their calls?
Another thing about Sly is, if the call doesn't sound "exactly" like you'd like it to, he'll dik with it until you are satisfied. Trust me on that one, LOL. Right Sly? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I have never heard one, but word is they sound as good as they look.

Some of those calls appear to be closed reed calls. At least I can't see a reed bridge and a reed on them. Would one of you SLYDOG call owners give us some particulars on their construction--i.e. open reed, closed reed, sounds you can make with them, etc. Thanks.
 
Slydog makes three models that I know of...

The "O" are closed reed calls, and most of what are pictured here.

An "OR", which Brad has posted, is an open reed call.

There is a third model I have never seen, or seen well enough to understand, but it has a hole in the side of the body, allowing you to alter the voice somehow.

He and Pup also work together to produce the Slydog/Pup howler, which I have also heard can sing a sweet tune.

I use to have a picture of one of these calls i have on my webpage but when it went down a while back i lost it. Ill dig through all my pictures at home and post one for you...i also have a sound grab of the sound it makes somewhere..if you want to hear that i will post it also.
 
Slydog calls are indeed the best! I have some and will get the picks on here as soon as I get my scanner up and going. The mini howler is one of my favorites, made out of antler and open reeded...love that little thing!

Sly is a good man and a damn fine call maker!

You won't/can't go wrong with his calls.

And yes, on eof his calls comes with a hole in the side to allow for various vocalizations.

Does anyone have a pic of the sly pup howler???
love what i hear about it but dont know about size...i dont want to be dragging a 10 inch cow horn around my neck....i also hear he has them in boson horn...
 
This is not a very good pic of Sly's, but it will do until I take another one. These are very nicely done for sure.

The other thing I really like about Sly is his dedication to the youth hunters of today!!!! Keep up the work Sly.

Thanks AlaskanYoter....I am assuming you too love your calls, since not a single person has a bad thing to say about them....I was also impressed with Sly's awareness and involvment with the hunting youth...definetly a talented man and an amazing individual......thanks again
