Dropped 4 on the first stand, just a stone’s throw from the landowner’s house, and 3 more on the third. The rest of these were just singles.
Last night started out very windy, and I was hesitant to take a shot at the first stand because of the high winds and potential bullet drift with the small 50-grain projectile. While I was debating whether to take the shot, my phone vibrated—it was my friend Brian. I told Brian to meet me at the Dollar General just north of my location, and then I walked out of the blank stand.
After that, we began hitting all the locations where I had pre-scouted and dropped pins. As the winds died down, we started making back-to-back stands, successfully dispatching coyotes at every location I had scouted. We managed to shoot a few doubles and even got four coyotes at one stand. By the time Brian called it a night around 2:30 AM, we had 14 coyotes in the truck. I decided to stick it out and continued hunting until dawn, adding a few more to the pile.
