We are one of the places the black footed ferret has been re-introduced and the prairie dog towns near them are off limits. All of the northern 1/2 of the state is loaded with them in the 4000-7000' elevations. In eastern arizona they are just coming back after near elimination by the plague 10 years ago. It's about the only thing that keeps them in check. We shot quite a few this year and had a blast.
