Old Members?

I was looking up some info on the internet and some post came up Predator Masters from back in 2017-2019. I started reading and noticed how many of the older members that aren't posting here these days. Rustydust was one that I use to chat with all the time and he no longer posts. There were several others not here any longer to. Where'd they all go? A bunch of them were daily regulars and always had interesting comments. I sure miss the old PM and they members that use to be here.

Those such as I am looking in the background from time to time..

The word is "Old", old hunters have a problem with disappearing, but it is kind of a natural thing. Then there is the past history of PM and a few have some hard feelings from the past. I like the New PM.

Some of the old timers are finding there way back, there are questions on other sites on how to get back on PM as the new software makes getting back on more difficult than starting new. I had the have Stu help me past the change and I never left.

Idk if I’m “Old” or not, but I’ve been on here over 10yrs…I prefer the old PM. A lot more activity on all fronts. Especially the Classifieds. I do appreciate the ability to upload photos much more easily on this new version though. Otherwise I’d go back if the option was available. Also we don’t have a store with t-shirts & vinyl stickers anymore

I have to agree with greengt88. I liked the old Predator Masters much better. I to had to start a new account just to get back on and now I can't find my new account passwords so I'm afraid if I log off I'll have to start over even again. I can't use my phone for pictures because I can't log on. I can't change my password because it asks for my old one. If I knew my old one I wouldn't need a new one. Its to bad that hard feelings have cost us many members that were the "backbone" of PM but we seem to see this in all walks of life. I frequent a couple of other sites but one is just full of hate and I don't stay there very long. The other is full of good information and people willing to help you get through issues that are gun related. PM use to be that way and still is but moves so slow at times that you just go other places. I use to spend hours on here when it was the old PM, now just in and out a few times a day.

I can always reset your password for you

Yes, we'd all like to have the activity we used to but that went away quite a few years ago for a variety of reasons. The old software sucked in a variety of ways & was abandoned

by its developers, if we wanted better we had to move. We finally managed to pull that off.

Activity is a self feeding thing, the more active people are them more we'll see

As for the store, we had to shut that down years ago as it cost more to operate it than it was bringing in

Anyone needing help with a password email me at

webmaster@predatormasters.com

or

sgfarish@gmail.com

If you're currently logged into a profile & I change the password, you may end up logged out & unable to read your private messages so email is the best way to make sure you can get the new password

If you created a new profile & want to get back into your old one, you can either email me or send a PM from the new profile. I need to know the current name, the old name & your current email. I'll reste your old password & email & once you get logged in to that, I'll ban the new profile

Also note that I have no way to see what your password is. I can assign a new one but can't see the current one

Instagram and Facebook have decreased the action on Predator Masters quite a bit.

This "Old Members" thread got me to thinking, when did I first start posting threads on Predator Masters. It was 2007. It was pretty cool when some of the threads that were posted back in the "Old Days" would get 2 to 4 pages of replies.

I just found all of the threads that I posted since 2007 by going to "Forums", "Find Threads", "Your Threads". I didn't know we could do that to see every thread that we started.

I belong to a number of gun and hunting related sites and it seems most of them have really slowed. To the point I might look every few weeks to see if there is anything new. Then there are a couple that have members that can ruin any good thread, that has killed the sight for me.

This is still one of the better sites, and the best predator hunting sights. It seems we are getting new members, I would love to see more member participation.

Agree, Erich. Its a shame what personal feuds between a couple of members can do to a forum when they get into endless spats, but that has lead to the downward spiral of many forums.

i think you hit it on the head

all of the hunting forums im on have slowed to a crawl over the last few years. i think its just a natural progression as internet forums as a platform type do not - usually - have easy mobil access and more and more people are moving away from using their PC's for their daily internet access as a whole.

so yea its not just a PM thing.

@Stu Farish
After not being active for a few years, I tried to sign in and there were a lot of complications. Software changes may have lost my old account, I'm not sure what happened with it. My old account had over 1000 posts and I'd been a member since 2002. I started this account under the name Satori Bowhunter, whereas my old account name was: Bowhunter57. Under my new name, it appears that I'm new to the forum, but I've been on this forum longer than most. :)

It would be nice to have my old account back with all my post history, but I don't know if it's possible.
