Northern Colorado Coyote Hunting

New hunter here, I’ve had a few successful doe hunts and have attempted to call and hunt coyotes a few times unsuccessfully. Looking for someone in the northern Colorado area that’s willing to help me get on the right track to call and hunt some predators. All help will be appreciated.

Welcome. Tell us about your set up. What have you tried. Are you day or night hunting?
Day hunting with a foxpro patriot electronic call. I’ve done a bit of calling up near Walden and I’ve done some out in Pawnee. Aside from that I have a .243 I’m using. Didn’t grow up hunting and I don’t have family or friends that hunt so everything I know is strictly from reading on the internet or watching videos.

Normally it's pretty difficult to get guys to take you to their favorite spots and to give out their secrets. Most of the guys on here grew up without the internet and have had to learn by trial and error. I would suggest you stick around and ask your questions. No matter how dumb it might sound. I would imagine that you're following general advice. Setup with the favorable wind direction, avoid too much movement on stand, you're scouting for sign, scat, and you're either hearing them or getting Intel from others who have heard them. Also vary your calling. It seems that every person with a caller is calling and educating yotes. Try unconventional sounds, even prey that isn't native to your area. Mating season is around the corner; I would try vocals to lure territorial males.
