Nitecore batteries too long?

Anyone running Nitecore NL1836HP batteries? I have read some reviews stating that they are too big to fit in some flashlights.
I want new batteries for my Sidewinder scanner.
 
I have a few Nitecore 18650 and have no issues in lights or my RIX thermal. What I can tell you is that the 18650 batteries with the built in usb charging port right on the battery will be longer than a regular button top or flat top. I have a couple that came with my Accufire Digital NV scope and they do not fit in my battery chargers because they are too long.
 
From what I understand, it's best to just buy whatever comes in your scopes/monos from the factory because more and more are starting to use flat tops vs button tops. Just like my PARD, some 18650's will fit in it, some won't.
