New to trapping first catches

Doing a little line behind the house. First night had 1 targeted boar coon in a dog proofs. Had another boar coon in a canine set. Remade the mb550 set after the dispatch. I have pictures of coyotes by the tree. Used the tree as a backer and it already had a natural cavity. Punched a hole in the dirt with some canine force lure and bait. Coyote urine on tree. Will post picture feed back appreciated.

I don’t trap “woods” for coyotes so I have no experience there. I do know using a “big” backing in the pines or open areas don’t produce for me. But the fact that you have pics of coyotes passing that tree, I’d bet you have one within the next check or two.

Haven’t had a chance to remake my K9 sets to something more attractive to coyotes. But I’ve been putting a dent into the resident coon population. Something I’ve noticed. All of my coon catches have been 6 larger male coons. Haven’t trapped a single female yet. Is that par for the course?
