New To the Forum

Hey guys , my name is Greg I’m new to this forum but have been on another forum in the past called Called California Predators club .

I moved to Idaho five years ago and started a family and have been out of calling for that amount of time . My son is old enough now we’re he has picked up some of my old hand calls and has been practicing in his room and driving his mom nuts lol . It’s time to get after it again . I’m pretty old school when it comes to calling my favorite hand calls are Dan Thompson game calls , I do have a foxpro but it’s an old 416b and a fx3 .

My reason for joining this forum is to get back around the community of predator calling , my dad raised me in it and now it’s time for me and my son to make some memories. I always liked the forums cause it was a wealth of information and good to read others stories and share mine as well . Anyways I’m glad I’m here and look forward to being apart of this forum .

As an Idahoan by birth and the grace of God, I'll offer a critique: there's Idaho and then there's Idaho. Southern Idaho (God bless it) is more like Northern Utah. Northern Idaho is true Idaho. True Idaho is anything north of Council.

The joke about my people is, the only people we hate more than each other is everybody else.

....I think that's good enough to meet my trolling goals for the day.

I respect it lol , I live in Orofino Id. I did not want to be anywhere near Boise . Last thing I wanted to do was move out of California and be back around the same people that ruined it and moved out . I ran a 10,000 square foot hunting and gun shop in California . I saw myself getting legislated out of a job . I meet my wife while she was buying a Weatherby rifle from me .

California is a pretty state and I have had some amazing predator hunts while I lived there but when I meet my wife and wanted to start a family it was either Idaho or Wyoming . God blessed us and put us in Orofino . My two daughters are born in Orofino . I’m glad to have started the transition of my family now being rooted here in Idaho . I love this state and the people . I feel home here and the best thing I can think of to do is respect the people here and learn why this state has stayed the way it has . Thanks for the fun troll I appreciate you and respect it

NO SH*T?! Small world. I grew up in Ahsahka. I don't claim Orofino just because I'm not a Maniac (I dropped out of OHS after my freshman year). I still love Otown though. Glad to have you in Clearwater Co.
 
Welcome. We were through Orofino in mid September. The drive on Highway 12 from there to Missoula might be the prettiest drive anywhere.
Ever go to Tri-State outfitters in Moscow? Cool place!
I got a kick out of the T-shirts that said Idaho is full go somewhere else.

Yeah, I just bought some 6.5 Grendel ammo in the 100grain Hornady Eld-Vt to try out from Tristate in Moscow. I was up in Bonner Ferry visiting my father-in-law that bought some property up there. There is a Gun shop off hwy 95 called the Idaho gun store, they had over 5,200 guns on display. It was amazing!! The had a funny slogan there too on stickers and shirts. There are shirts, cups, stickers and etc. that said The Idaho Gun Store Not legal in California lol, and yes hwy 12 is an awesome drive to work every day.
 
Welcome to the forums. Orofino is a nice place. I spend time there occasionally for work. The Clearwater is a beautiful river flowing through there and one of the best salmon runs around.
