Yeah, I know I didn’t shoot it, but caught my personal best weight coyote this morning! 41lbs 12oz!!

I woke up at 0530 and checked my cams and at the same time my son was texting saying that’s a beast of a coyote.

I called in and shot a 38lb 10oz and a 40lb on the dot coyote before, but almost 42lbs is my best for sure.

What a beast! Those are the coyotes that make me nervous when I’m out there with my dog

Congrats on the heavyweight! Adult coyotes around me hit 40 pretty frequently. When you get them much over 40 you know you are pushing the upper end. Over 45 and you have a beast around here! Doesn’t happen often, but it happens.

That is a big coyote. My largest to date is 40# 6oz.

You have to talk really soft while rubbing their belly to put them to sleep. You then gently pick them up while still talking softly to them and hang them and pray they don’t wake up before weight and pics are taken. Leather gloves work great to preserve dexterity.

Sounds like what I have to do to my GF at least one week out every month.
