Wed nite with IR on Blackout carbine. Saw a hog go by in the brambles, no shot - 100 yds. Then saw something moving in the trees. Watch a while, another showed up and they moved about on the lower branches. Watched on come down - thought - coons (east Texas). One came out of the brambles and got shot. A DILLO! What? Never heard of that.

Are you saying the dillo was up in a tree?? I won't say impossible but, have you looked closely at the dillo paws/feet?

The other choice is 2 coons that chased the dillo out into the open. I don't know. Had a dillo climb over the chain link fence in my back yard years ago - road kill the next day. Anyway - strange stuff happened.
