Need some help deciding on a Can.

looking to buy my first can after the first of the year.
There are so many different ones on the market now it is really hard to decide.
At this point I am looking for one to use on multiple calibers. From 223-300
Will mainly be used on AR platforms but also want to hunt with it with some other bolt rifles like my 6.5CM and 300 WSM.

The one I have been looking at is the Omega 300.
I would like it to stay fairly budget...at least for a supressor.
I just dont know if the extra money for a higher priced one is worth the extra.

If anyone has any info or opinions i can use them.

I'm a big fan of TBAC products they always make top notch stuff and their CS/Tech has ALWAYS been excellent. Ray Sanchez w/TBAC used to post here on occasion but haven't seen him post in awhile. Anything you get from TBAC is going to be good stuff.

I ventured off the TBAC reservation with my last suppressor purchase though and recently got a Dead Air Nomad LTi XC. I am VERY impressed with it because, damn, this thing is very quiet. Dead Air makes a shorter version called the Nomad Ti XC and for its size (7in long & 9.5oz) is very impressive.

One that I would stay away from until they get things sorted out with them is the SilencerCo Scythe. There's been quite a few of those blowing apart so for now it is one I'd stay away from.

Generally what you get with suppressors that cost more is one that weighs less, sometimes a lot less, and is noticeably quieter.

For a one and done suppressor I think you'd be money ahead to spend the extra money for a lighter quieter can. My recommendation would be the Dead Air Nomad Ti XC. Even though I have the DA LTi XC and it is a little quieter can the shorter length of their Ti XC is probably a better choice for someone that just wants one suppressor.

Also, Capitol Armory in Tx is one of the very best shops to purchase from. They not only have a good inventory but they are awesome to work with and they have the process down like no other. They walk you through the process every step of the way and If you live in a state that allows it they will deliver it right to your front door. My last one was approved by the ATF in one day. From the time I purchased it till the UPS guy delivered it was less than 30 days and it actually would have been a week sooner but I was out of town for a week and didn't get all my paperwork back to Capitol Armory as soon as I could have had I not been gone. The crew at CA is top notch!

Lots of great cans out there nowadays and many already mentioned.
If hunting suppressed is your main goal, make sure to take a serious look at SRT arms. Thunderbeast would be another on my short list. If I had it all to do again, knowing what I know now, I would focuse more on performance and the attributes that mean the most to me RATHER THAN, what's cheaper and will get the job done.

IMO the "problem" you are going to have is you want a suppressor that you can run on both AR's and bolts. You can do it, but if you shoot a lot you are going to notice the blow back with the AR's unless you go with a high flow suppressor.

Whenever I bought a suppressor I had two things that were the most important to me. 1. Cost 2. Noise reduction.
Weight, length, etc didn't matter because I was mainly going to be using it for night hunting in which I use a tripod.

I ended up going with the DDC Enticer L and I am VERY pleased with it. So pleased and I plan on buying another one.

You hit the nail on the head with that. I do want it for both my Ars and bolt guns. It will primarily live on the ARs i think as I am moving to using them for more of my hunting around home

The Scythe was the one I was really looking at until I started doing some reading and saw they have had quite a few break.
In your opinion would the Dead Air Nomad Ti XC be good for a gas gun?

AB Suppressor Raptor 8 with their 3” Reflex mount is one heck of a can. Liked mine so much I bought a second one. I run everything from 221 Fireball to 7mm Mag through it. I have had onlookers at the rifle range comment that it was the quietest they have heard. They are moderately priced and in my opinion very well built.

I did a cheap gas buster of sorts with some rtv and a strategically placed hole in my charging handle and don't notice the gas in my face. I also run an adjustable gas block.
Flow through suppressors will release back pressure but at the cost of sound supression comparatively.

I have many suppressors, but my favorite do all is the DDC Enticer L Ti. Just use an adjustable gas block when running on an AR and the only time I've ever notice gas in my face is during a mag dump.

Agreed Flowthrough are loud as F#$% (I have two).

Same. I've only had to redo the RTV twice in about 5,000 rounds.

For a do-it-all- can, I settled on the Dead Air Nomad Ti:

The DA Nomad LTi and Ti have always been very impressive and the new XC 3D printed versions are equally good if not slightly better. For a one and done can that is less than 7 inches long, the new DA Nomad Ti XC would be my first pick!

I haven't looked at DA for a while, didn't realize they must have discontinued the regular Ti for the XC.

I believe the Ti was listed at 9.7 with direct thread, XC is listed at 9.6 with DT.

Diligent Defense is worth a look too, they meter the same as the TI at half the price.
