I'm pretty sure that we've heard this male before but have not had any success getting him to come in. When we have heard him there was a pack answering and he was always in the background. Tonight the pack did not answer but he did. It took about 10 minutes and I saw him pop out in the next field while I was running a female howl. He howled back and I muted the call and switched to Vole Squeaks. I saw him cock his head and he came in committed. He stopped at about 70 yds and we double tapped him, DRT. My buddy did the recovery and complained that he was a heavy drag back to the truck. I don't know, I stayed by the rifles and supervised the recovery. That is a perk of being a senior citizen.
