Long barreled rifle with surpressor sling recommendations?

Ok I hunt in ND wide open prairie. So I’m shooting a 22-243ai with a long barrel. Very accurate and fast. Anyways I use a surpressor on a long barrel, what kind of slings work the best for this?

I used a backpack style sling that goes over both shoulders for a little bit and it did work. But it was just sort of a PITA. I've gone back to regular slings and just dealing with the poor balance as best I can. But my walks to and from stands are almost always pretty short it's not that hard to live with.

I do like the double strap sling and have my AR set up that way. mostly I use a back scabbard but I don't think they would work well with a long barrel. A thought is a Erberlestock pack and put it in butt down.

I’m in the same boat as you. Hunt ND with a 22 and 24 inch barrel topped with a 9 inch suppressor. If I’m wearing my Kifaru pack, I’ll use the Kifaru gun bearer and I mostly like it. I also have a eberlestock X1 pack and the scabbard still holds my long muskets just fine.

My thermal just has a regular sling and I’ll wear the gun on my back if I’m dragging coyotes out at night.

I really like the speciality outdoor slings. I like them on rigs I might carry for some distance. last fall I had a mule deer hunt that my son was guiding me on, he is 22 and full of piss and vinegar. on opening morning he took us up the mountain in the darkness, its a good thing because I would not have hiked the vertical if I saw it in the daylight, LOL. I was carrying my blaser r8 with a TBAC ultra 5 on it.

The sling frankly saved me, I had my kuiu backpack on which doubles as a daypack, although kinda large for just that. and the last 1000 feet of vertical was boulder hoping large vehicle size boulders. That particular sling can be split and one strap put over your head on the other side of your neck. I was able to keep my balance, reach down, stoop, jump etc without fear of the rifle sliding off my shoulders. I am not the most nimble anymore and a broken leg in that situation is a 25k helicopter flight out. I was very very happy with having that sling on. In regular configuration the rubber is pretty grippy and takes quite a bit to slip off your shoulder.

Check out the TAB Biathlon sling. I have no experience with it but it has been suggested to me a few times for my Desert Tech SRS. Would seem to make carrying my comfortable. Even more so if you have flush cups on the side of your stock and not the bottom. Link to said sling:

I'd stay away form QD sling attachments .....They will fail you when you least expect it
I started using QD slings about 3 years ago and saw it could be a problem but used them anyway. Was walking to a stand this winter on frozen ground and the top QD let lose. The scope landed first but luckily no damage and was still zeroed. Went to the D ring style on a picatinny rail the next night.
