Light from remote

How big of an issue is light from an e caller remote, in spooking coyotes. I presume one needs to shield that light from coyotes cause it will spook them. Besides the obvious of shading the light with your hand and putting the remote inside a jacket, are there any other techniques to avoid spooking coyotes with light from the remote?
Thanks

I've got the brightness turned almost as low as it will go on both of mine and turned to red lettering. I've got a phone holder on the tripod and point the screen straight up in the air.

I try to operate mine mostly while inside my chest rig. I memorize where the key buttons are, and some of the sounds I want. If I need to see it, I look at it while inside my chest pack, make the changes and close the flap.

I like to keep the remote as dim as possible, Its connected by a lanyard to my chest pack. Once the coyote shows up i lower the remote and pursue the dog. I cant say i have ever had a dog flare due to the remote light.

I've never had an issue with the light affecting coyotes. If anything, the light that shines through your thermal or NV scope eyepiece would be worse.
