2012 was a bad year for me. Wife hit me with a divorce, lost the house which I just paid off and my job moved to Kentucky. Took a while for me to get my stuff together but its mostly all good now. Luckily for me I was old enough to retire even though I was just shy of my goal to work there for 30yrs. Missed it by 2 yrs. I think living apart is the best thing that came out of it. I'm here for her if she needs help and I can count on her to help me. It's not the best but it works. Between SSI and my investments I live a pretty comfortable life. Not well off by any means but I don't want for much. Roof over my head and food to eat, bills are paid and some nice big boy toys. I can't really complain. I spend most of my time keeping an eye on her until she gets back on her feet.
