Is the AGM ts25-384 any good?

I'm new to the thermal hunting game but not coyote hunting. I've used red lights for years but finally going to get into thermal but I'm on a budget.. I'm looking at the agm ts25-384.. how are they?

I love mine. I have the TS25 with the 1.5x magnification. I use it on base magnification and have taken coyotes out to about 90 yards without any trouble. Very good image for the price. Works great as a scanner AND rifle scope. I used it the other night as a scanner to locate a dead chicken that something caught and carried off into the woods, and again as a scanner on a hog hunt earlier this year. It’s a neat little scope. I have some YouTube videos and will post some links that will give you an idea what the scope looks like.

For 100 yards and under, the scope works fine. The TS25 does not record sound, so I edited in a shot.

NYPred, the video shows the crosshair in white but I actually have it set on red. My understanding is that a firmware update will correct that. I haven’t done it yet since there is a process to get right and I am afraid of messing it up. Newer scopes may already have it.

Thanks for the info and good shooting!!.. I have one ordered and it'll be a Christmas present for me. I might have to upgrade in the future as I do have some areas I hunt that are 600+ yards of field but for now I'll have to get em in close. I'll be putting it on my ar15 in 223 and have an external battery pack set up. Our sets up here in NY can last in excess of 45 minutes at times.

It seems that the Agm TS 25-384 is very similar to the Hikmicro Thunder TH25P 2.0 (384x288@12micron, F25/1.0)

I have the TS35 640 I bought as a back up, but mainly use it to scan. Pretty nice scope for the price. I think you’ll be happy with your choice.

NYPred, looking forward to seeing some coyotes on the ground with your Christmas present, and your thoughts about the scope. Especially I would like to know if newer models that should have a firmware update, show colored crosshairs in video.

The AGM Rattler TS25 is a good bang for your buck unit. I just wish they would have used a 12 micron core instead of the 17 micron.

Be sure to update the firmware. You will get 10 brightness and contrast settings instead of 5, as well as the ability to have 5 rifle profiles with 5 POI points for each one.

I Agree with that

Got an armadillo @ 50 with my 25-384 Rattler. Update of software is easy and be sure to do it. Missed some hogs @ 50 when I didn't know all the options and had the wrong retical. Missed another hog @ 100 (barely - 30#er backside shot) but that was me not the Rattler.

I use a 25-384 Sidewinder for a scanner and am very happy with it. Supposed to be the same core as the rattler v2
