Icotec Nightstalker vs Revolt or Roughneck, quality of vocals?

I know several here use or have used several different ones. I'm considering updating, although the 7 yo Revolt still works fine. The remote does leave something to be desired at night, and my partner has one also so something different could be handy at times. I tried a Nightstalker a few years back and was totally underwhelmed, it sounded bad and I thought the sounds were strange also. The remote had no categories so it was like strolling through a free for all. I returned it and kind of figured I got a dud somehow. I thought I saw where they updated the remote with categories but not sure. Do they icotec's have a tweeter for the high frequencies?

To those who use them, or use multiple kinds, give me a pro vs con if you would. To those who used to use one, and switched like Infidel, can you tell me why? Any info would be helpful. Thanks

I have an IcoTec Sabre, I guess it’s the predecessor to the Night Stalker…remote is mediocre, sounds are categorized and you can save multiple to “Favorites” but a lot of the sounds are useless for me. Ton of coyote sounds, I mostly hunt fox..l was able to call a few in this year (bought caller used and 1st time using it this year) so it def works…volume was extremely loud, had to use lowest setting even for mouse squeaks and I thought it was loud. Controls are easy to use and everything worked great.
Thing takes a ton of batteries, so I opted for a rechargeable battery pack.
Overall not really any complaints other than pre-loaded sounds aren’t ideal for my calling, but easily fixed by uploading from IcoTec library.

I have tried the Icotec Outlaw it was ok, to me it was big and the sound quality was not that good on certain sounds. I now own a Foxpro Inferno MFK edition and Lucky Duck Super Revolt got that from Rick Paillet verminator calls, I like the Foxpro the best for size it's small and carries better than all the others, and MFK sounds are great, the Lucky Duck is good, I do like the rotation of call and Ricks sound are great to gives me a different tone an pitch from other calls, it is bigger a little harder to carry. There the 2 that fit my calling needs, if I had to pick 1 today it would be the Foxpro Hellcat Pro MFK edition. Any will call predators even diaphragm and hand calls just pick something and go calling.

After 3 FP, the last being a Fusion with terrible remote range I bought an Icotec nightstalker+.
It is bigger but weighs basically the same as the 3 FPs I had. It DOES NOT have a tweeter. The remote range is AWESOME (I quit testing at 425yds), is categorized, and bigger font than the tx-1000 which helps, at soon to be 74y/o.
To my ears, it sounds really good with their sounds, TT sounds, Boss Pred Acoustics sounds, and the FXP mp3 files that can be converted to play on it.
With their battery pack it has excellent power life even in cold weather. I only charge it every 6-8 nights making 3-6 sets each night. AND I have killed more coyotes this year than I ever have, whether that is the call or not is up to conjecture ;).

I used ICOtec for about 3 years, the remote did have better out of site connectivity. TT and JD’s sounds were good. I still use TT sounds on my FXP and now JD converted his Bustin fur sounds to work on any caller. However, I have really good results with MFK social interaction sounds.

I used FOXPRO for years before I staffed for ICOtec, but there were old FXP sounds I missed. I used an old FOXPRO for years with a TX-24 and it only had 24 sounds. I am not that crazy about having a whole lot of sounds, I would rather use less, and have confidence in the sounds I am using. I think a lot of hunters are buying up new sounds thinking they have not been heard by coyotes in their area, so it keeps them going back buying more and more. I have heard really good things about Rick’s sounds; however, I have never used any of them. I think every sound producer has sounds that trigger them far better than some of the many other sounds they produce. It is like trial and error until you find the sounds you have the most confidence in, and those are the ones that get saved in your “favorites.” I have gained a lot of confidence in some of MKF’s sounds.

With the FXP sounds I had been missing and the large size of the ICOtec, one hunt I grabbed my old fusion due to its compact size. To me it seemed like my numbers went up when I went back to that old call. I have nothing negative to say about any call company or sound producer. For a time, out of respect for ICOtec I would not show the call I was using in the pictures I would post.

This was way tougher than it should have been because I have a pretty big Cabela's gift card from a return on a scope with their name on it that went bad. But in the end I ordered what I wanted from Rick because he included so many extras I couldn't turn it down. Roughneck on the way, comes with a bunch of extra killer sounds and battery pack. Got the taller tripod also for it.

I had everything from a xwave, hellcat pro, X24, and nightstalker in my Cabela's cart but couldn't pull the trigger. I didn't want to get something I felt like I had to add a bunch of sounds to at 8 bucks a pop. And I just don't trust that the icotec sounds as good. That's probably wrong, but the biggest part of hunting success is confidence and I know the LD sounds work. I wish I could have used my gift card but I'm sure I'll find more of their junk to use it on in the future. Then I'm cancelling my club card because Cabela's is just barely a shadow of its former self, the cs people are nice but the policies are crap. They claim to price match but wont match any sales. Huh? Only from certain retailers also.

Yes the buttons are back lit. I posted this earlier but don't know where it went.
Yea, I dropped my cabelas card years ago for obvious reasons.

I'm not dropping mine, but in the last couple of weeks I got 2 other cash back cards to use instead, & am going to put the Cabelas card in the backup to the backup card.(third place) I've had a hard time finding anything to burn my points on.

I went with the Citi card 1st, but they would only give me 1K limit to start, so I added the Wells Fargo card with a 2500 limit

I have a Revolt my son has X24 we kill coyotes with both.If I were buying another Lucky Duck it would be a Roughneck just for size,we do not use a decoy and I hardly ever use the turning feature.I hunt some places that I walk a good ways in to call so think I would like the smaller more compact call
